Stand By Soft launches RationalPlan 6.1 a version that comes with new features and improvements especially for the web based interface. Users can easier handle documents, new timescales were added for Gantt Chart view and the compatibility with Microsoft Project files was also improved.
RationalPlan 5.9 just received a new look and feel for the Cloud solution with a lighter browser based interface. Compatibility with Microsoft Project files was improved while Tomcat 10 support was added. Other features include columns grouping within the Portfolio view.
RationalPlan 5.8 comes with several improvements when managing tasks using the task lists view: task tiles can be moved from one list to another using mouse drag actions, task drag tracker and drop position hint is more visible and users have a context menu for quick actions. This version also comes with a pulsing hint mini-guide to help users navigate the main views of the application.
RationalPlan 5.6 comes with a common theme for all browsers. Further more, the web interface added roll over actions for the Kanban board and task dependency management by direct typing within the Gantt table.
RationalPlan 5.5 brings a major change to its way of managing projects. Although the product is best suited for the traditional waterfall project management methodology it can also be used for agile projects. Further more, starting with current version, it improves the support for agile project management with the newly added Kanban board.

RationalPlan 4.13 comes with new features within the web-based interface like the possibility to attach documents on tasks and projects, performance improvements, the possibility to see data from the entire portfolio of projects and automatic email notifications when assigning resources to tasks. For the desktop products it was also added support for 1.5x HDPI monitors.
Starting with version 4.12 RationalPlan offers support for Retina displays on Mac OS X platform. The interface is now sharper and uses high definition icons as per the specifications required by Apple. No more blurry fonts or images.
The latest version 4.12 for RationalPlan comes with a significant improvement for online project planning. Users can now manage their projects directly from a web-browser. In just a few minutes everything is set including project details, working calendars, task planning and scheduling, resource definition and work allocation and the final step: time and cost tracking.
