St. Onge's Aman Sapra Elected The Institute of Industrial Engineers National Lean Division President-Elect
St. Onge Supply Chain Expert Brings Years of Experience to Lean Division.
- York-Hanover, PA (1888PressRelease) August 28, 2012 - St. Onge Co. announced that Aman Sapra has been elected to serve as the President-elect beginning May, 2012 of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) Lean Division. He assumes the position as president starting May, 2013. The IIE Lean Division's mission is to support its members by fostering networks, offering programs and maintaining resources that represent their core competencies and areas of specialized practice. In this position, he will coordinate the various activities undertaken by the Division and liaise with IIE Headquarters for activities support. The Lean Division undertakes various activities including the Lean Student Paper Competition, the IIE Lean Teaching Award, the Lean Best Practice Award, undertaking industry-enriching webinars as well as coordinating sessions at the Annual IIE Conference & Expo.

A senior project manager at St. Onge Co., Sapra has more than nine years of experience in strategic logistics, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution. His knowledge of inventory strategy and strategic logistics has helped clients throughout North America, Europe, Asia and Africa. Sapra, apart from being on the Board of Directors for the Institute of Industrial Engineer's National Lean Division, is also on the local IIE chapter Board and is a certified six sigma resource. He has a bachelor of engineering degree in manufacturing from India and a master of science degree in industrial engineering from Purdue.
