St. Louis, MO-IL (1888PressRelease) February 19, 2015 - St. Louis family law attorney Tim Schlesinger of the law firm Paule, Camazine & Blumenthal, P.C. was recently named to positions within the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association.

In January, Schlesinger was appointed to the American Bar Association Family Law Section CLE Planning Committee. This body is responsible for planning and coordinating continuing legal education (CLE) content produced by the ABA relating to family law.

Also within the ABA Family Law section, in February Schlesinger was appointed to the Executive Council of the Assisted Reproductive Technologies Committee. Schlesinger brings more than 30 years of experience in family law matters to this national-level position.

In over three decades of practice, Schlesinger has developed expertise along the wide spectrum of family law and assisted reproduction matters. He has helped numerous families from around the country navigate the legal territory surrounding family expansion when using assisted reproductive technologies (ARTs) in order to protect the rights of parents, children, donors, and surrogates.

Schlesinger is the author of the chapter "Third Party Assisted Reproduction, Assisting Couples Amidst the Changing Legal Landscape" of Navigating Adoption and Surrogacy Laws, published by Aspatore Publishing (a division of Thomson Reuters) in 2014. He is also the recent author of the "Surrogacy in Missouri" chapter of the Handbook of Gestational Surrogacy: International Clinical Practice & Policy Issues, to be published by Cambridge University Press this year.
