  • (1888PressRelease) May 21, 2012 - PALM SPRINGS CA - A new social website for posting free online classified ads in local markets is shopping for a new state to call home. SquawkBoard.com offers localized "neighborhood bulletin boards" throughout the United States so it's open for a lot of possibilities. California's tax hike will place a strain on SquawkBoard's growing company and is seeking to save various taxes by moving out of the state.

"Officially, 254 large companies have left California last year which is five times higher than 2009 and this tax hike will probably push out ours. We're looking for a state that we can expand and grow SquawkBoard," explained SquawkBoard's CEO Gary Drew. "We're not exiting quietly like most growing companies. We're loudly asking other states to court us." The reasons Gary Drew gave for the possibility of leaving the state of California are high taxes, excessive regulation and an environment of hostility to businesses.

SquawkBoard is currently based in Palm Springs, CA and is looking to move. We welcome your feedback or calls to SquawkBoard regarding relocation states.
