SpyHunter, EnigmaSoft Limited's anti-malware software solution, earns AppEsteem Certification and becomes ACR-004 compliant, further demonstrating its continuing mission to align with the clean consumer protection software principles.
- (1888PressRelease) December 29, 2018 - Dublin, Ireland − EnigmaSoft Limited, a leading provider of anti-malware solutions, has announced that its anti-malware remediation app SpyHunter has met the 100+ App Certification Requirements (ACRs) demanded by AppEsteem for its strict software requirements for Certification. By becoming Certified by AppEsteem (https://www.enigmasoftware.com/spyhunter-anti-malware-remediation-app-earns-appesteem-certification/), SpyHunter joins the few applications that meet the requirements of AppEsteem's stringent consumer protection driven guidelines for clean software to align with the general principles of Microsoft, CleanApps.org and other compliance partners. The app certification report is available at https://customer.appesteem.com/certified?vendor=ENIGM.
Among AppEsteem's most discussed ACRs in the app vendors ecosystem is the newly enacted ACR-004. ACR-004 states: "When showing free scan results with the intent to monetize, results are substantiated and avoid any exaggerated sense of urgency, and the app provides free fixes for all free scan results shown when the fix is not anticipated to be permanent or the fix offered is an ongoing service."
Patrick Morganelli, CEO of EnigmaSoft Limited, said of the compliance with ACR-004, “We understand and endorse AppEsteem's principal goals and EnigmaSoft has worked very hard to properly satisfy the new requirements of ACR-004 − as well as AppEsteem's 100+ other criteria which earned SpyHunter full AppEsteeem Certification. We look forward to continuing to build on our prior successes in our on-going mission to develop and provide advanced software solutions to protect consumers from modern, ever-changing and ever more sophisticated malware and cybersecurity threats while at the same time offering consumers high quality products for great value.”
AppEsteem is a software review organization whose mission is to review and analyze software programs to provide consumers and users with technical information and expert reviews on the safety and trustworthiness of Apps. The ACR-004 is an effort by AppEsteem partners (Microsoft, CleanApps.org, etc.) to set new consumer protection enforcement standards on software applications and to align with the understanding of Microsoft's general principles. The full list of AppEsteem Certification Requirements can be found on its site with forthcoming compliance and ACR-004 compliance details.
"At AppEsteem, we recognized a need to provide guidelines and oversight in a thriving software industry that should always be forthcoming to consumers in all of their services," said Dennis Batchelder, AppEsteem's President. "EnigmaSoft has demonstrated a clear approach to embrace our efforts to help define the benefits of clean software distribution and we're delighted to certify SpyHunter."
In working to achieve AppEsteem's Certification, EnigmaSoft is committed to bringing its independent judgment and expertise in providing safe, effective, and clean software applications − while always keeping in mind the great values of transparency and consumer-protection as part of its design policies.
