Spiritual Rescue Mission Goes to Japan

Walk Around the World for Peace", announced that he be going to Japan to perform a prayer for victims.

The prayer for victims is a Buddhist ceremony where Bhikkhu takes three/ten steps, then bows - prostrating himself fully, as he walks through the devastation from Tokyo towards the direction of Sendai. During this ceremony, Bhikkhu silently chants prayers to remove negative Kamma and release the souls of the dead who might have become earthbound due to the suddenness of death.

This ceremony works for the souls of the dead whose bodies have been found as well as those who are still missing.

Bhikkhu says, "First we need to console the ones who survived, then we need to aid the souls of those who died suddenly, because they are confused about what happened. Just like we send physical rescue teams, we also send spiritual rescue teams. Both are very important in aiding those who have died, those who have been harmed and those who continue to suffer."

Bhikkhu will be leaving Singapore on Sunday, 20th March 2011 at 9:45am and will be arriving at Narita Airport at 5:20pm. He will then make his way to Sendai.

Bhikkhu will be in Japan for two months and will return to Singapore in May.
