Spirit Incentives Organizes Silent Auction for Operation Smile
Spirit Incentives held its second Silent Auction last week in benefit of Operation Smile.
- Fort Lauderdale, FL (1888PressRelease) May 10, 2013 - Spirit Incentives, designers of innovative travel incentives and benefits products, held its second Silent Auction last week in benefit of Operation Smile, an organization dedicated to organizing fund raising activities for surgeries to heal the smiles of children with cleft lips and cleft palates.
The decision to hold a second silent auction was based off the success Spirit Incentives had during their first auction in the fall of 2012. Spirit Incentives was able to raise $2,930 through the auctioning of several contributing items, donating all of the proceeds to Operation Smile. The vast enthusiasm and desire among employees to aid the organization in their mission brought about the culmination of a second silent auction, this time raising enough funds for 8 children to have the life changing surgery that will heal their smiles forever.
The staff at Spirit Incentives showed a lot of heart in their contributions, not just through the auction but also by making individual monetary donations. CEO Gary Baron and Co-founder Taylor Billington matched the amount raised by their employees resulting in a total of $2,689 for Operation Smile in the last week alone.
To date, the company has raised $7,638 for the organization. Spirit Incentives President Taylor Billington commented "We are very grateful to have the opportunity to give to Operation Smile and their fantastic cause. We are appreciative of our entire team and their dedication in supporting this cause and bettering the lives of affected children. It is a privilege to be able to help heal their spirits and beautiful smiles."
