Spirit Incentives Holds Smile Bag Donation Drive for Operation Smile

Orlando, FL (1888PressRelease) August 07, 2013 - Spirit Incentives, designers of innovative travel incentives and benefits products, recently organized a Donation Drive to benefit Operation Smile, an organization dedicated to fund raising activities for surgeries to heal the smiles of children with cleft lips and cleft palates.

The drive was held over a two week period, collecting items the organization is in need of to fill their trademarked Smile Bags. Smile Bags are draw string bags that Operation Smile gives to their little patients post-surgery; they are filled with items to help put children at ease during the recovery process. Items donated included toiletries such as toothpaste and shampoo, and play items such as stuffed animals and coloring books. In total, over 20 of each item were donated by employees - enough to create 20 Smile Bags for 20 children to receive after undergoing their life-changing surgery.

The kindness and dedication to the cause demonstrated by the employees at Spirit Incentives has been overwhelming.

Spirit Incentives' work with Operation Smile began last year with a visit from Dr. Drew Schnitt, a Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and active Operation Smile volunteer. Following Dr. Schnitt's visit a silent auction took place in which several items were held for bidding; 100% percent of the monies collected at the auction were donated to the organization.

Succeeding the first silent auction in 2012, Spirit Incentives produced a raffle, casino night, and second silent auction to collectively raise a total of $27,649 within the last twelve months to benefit Operation Smile's worthy cause.
