- (1888PressRelease) April 22, 2011 - Taipei, Taiwan - Multi product wealth management provider Sphinx Asia (www.sphinxasia.com) today announced its Director of Research and Chief Investment Officer (CIO), Dr. Foster McMillan, PhD, will be sharing his perspective on mobile, social and other new product and service delivery platforms at their sponsored upcoming CIO Summit taking place March 18-19 in the Media Center at Sphinx Asset offices at the 101 Tower building in Taipei Dr. McMillan will participate in two sessions: a panel discussion alongside top Taiwanese CIO / Investment Managers and IT Executives from well known local investment funds and hedge funds titled, "Realizing the Promise of the Mobile Workforce through a Mobile Device Platform;" and a 30-minute CIO Think-Tank session titled, "'The New Online' - Next Generation Delivery Platforms."
Led by Dr. McMillan, the first session will take a strategic view on how technology leaders should prepare their businesses to deliver existing online services to the next generation of mobile, social and hyper-collaborative customers who demand services "their way." The group will discuss the role API's, apps, social media and cloud computing each play in laying the groundwork for the "new online" experience.
Many enterprises are struggling with how to centrally manage and support today's varied and rapidly-evolving mobile platforms. The session will discuss how these new mobile platforms create opportunities for corporate IT to embrace the "consumerization" of enterprise mobility to increase collaboration without driving up costs or compromising security. In the second session attendees will hear ideas on how to apply the "Protect, Connect, Collaborate" framework to evolve mobility as a cost center to a profit-driver.
