Spectrum Club To Host 100-Hour Athletic "Feet" For Breast Cancer Awareness
Public Invited to Marathon Elliptical-a-thon; SKECHERS® to Give Away Free Shoes.
- Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) October 26, 2011 - The public is invited to participate in an unusual athletic "feet" with the goal of raising $10,000 for breast cancer awareness. Those interested will make a $100 donation in exchange for one hour on the Cybex elliptical Arc Trainer and SKECHERS® will be giving away free shoes to the first 100 participants. The five-day fundraiser (Oct. 25 - 29) is being sponsored by Spectrum Athletic Club in Redondo Beach (819 Harbor Drive) with all proceeds going to the Cancer Support Community of Redondo Beach.
The Cybex elliptical Arc Trainers will be running from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct 25 - Friday, Oct 28 and 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct 29. Those who don't wish to work out themselves may sponsor volunteers for $100 (or more) to participate in their place. Cancer survivor and president of Dumbell Man Fitness Equipment of Torrance, Michael Garvey, is providing the two PINK Cybex elliptical Arc Trainers.
