Speakers Announced for Trigild Lender Conference

This year’s keynote speaker – futurist, author and journalist Michael Rogers – is known for his dynamic and insightful speaking style and will join returning headliner, noted economist Sam Chandan, Ph.D. Chandan will talk about the state of commercial real estate and Rogers will discuss a range of disruptors – from technology to social – and specific impacts on the industry. Along with Chandan and Rogers, Donald Sheets of AlumCreek Holdings will provide his contrarian perspective on CRE capital markets, and Peter Muoio, Ph.D, of Ten-X will discuss the outlook for the economy, capital markets and real estate.

He recently completed two years as a futurist-in-residence for The New York Times Company and writes the Practical Futurist column for MSNBC. He is a regular guest on Good Morning America, The Today Show, PBS, CNN and The History Channel.
Chandan is founder and chief economist of Chandan Economics, a member of the real estate faculty at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a partner at Capri Capital, a global investment advisory firm. Chandan Economics, with principal offices in New York and research operations in India, supports commercial real estate debt and equity capital market participants with quantitative risk analytics and related mortgage data.
Managing partner of AlumCreek Holdings (ACH), a private equity platform with a focus on special-situation commercial real estate mortgage debt investing, Sheets pioneered a proprietary financing mechanism that, for the first time since the RTC Era, produced a liquidating trust pass-through securitization secured primarily by performing and sub-performing commercial mortgage debt and led two of these capital markets transactions.
Muoio is an executive vice president at Ten-X where he is chief economist and head of Ten-X Research. He heads all commercial and residential research and analytics for Auction.com and is senior principal of Ten-X Maximus, its third-party research provider. Muoio has nearly thirty years of experience in real estate research, specializing in tailored real estate research for specific transactions, underwritings, portfolios and strategies, as well as a steady stream of research on the macro and regional economies, capital markets and their impact on the full spectrum of real estate segments.
