Speak Life Now, Inc. announces its 4th annual event, “Why Wait Give Them Their Flowers Now,” scheduled on May 3, 2025 in the New Kent Middle School, Auditorium, located at 7501 Egypt Rd, New Kent, VA 23124 from 12 noon until 2 pm.
- Richmond-Petersburg, VA (1888PressRelease) April 17, 2025 - Speak Life Now, Inc., a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, is excited to announce its 4th annual event, “Why Wait Give Them Their Flowers Now,” scheduled for May 3, 2025. The free event will take place from 12 noon to 2 PM in the New Kent Middle School, Auditorium, located at 7501 Egypt Rd, New Kent, VA 23124.
This year’s gathering aims to celebrate and honor 14 women who have made a positive impact in their families' lives and the community while raising funds for a scholarship dedicated to local students.
The “Why Wait, Give Them Their Flowers Now” event serves not only as a tribute to those who have inspired others but also as a dedication to foster connections within the community, encouraging attendees to express gratitude and love towards family and friends.
The organization believes in recognizing the efforts of community members while investing in the future of local youth. Donations made will contribute to the inaugural 2026 scholarship fund, which will be awarded in Spring 2026 to a deserving student attending New Kent High School with aspirations to enter the field of medicine.
“As a hometown girl and graduate of New Kent County schools, I believe by hosting this event, we not only celebrate those who have uplifted our community, but we can also provide opportunities for our youth,” said Dr. Lisa D. Burrell, founder of Speak Life Now, Inc. and Project R.E.A.C.H, “Each donation brings us one step closer to helping a student achieve their dreams of a career in medicine. We encourage everyone to join us in this important cause.”
Attendees can look forward to a day filled with inspiration, heartfelt tributes, and an opportunity to connect with community leaders. The event will feature guest speaker, author, and entrepreneur Dr. Mari L. Robinson, local artists, and musicians. The event is FREE to attend.
