    Bangalore - City Scape Global Awards celebrate "excellence in real estate development and architecture, the 2012 Cityscape Awards for Emerging Markets invite design visionaries and forward-thinking leaders in the international development arena, to join forces to showcase the pioneering projects that are raising the global industry bar."

    The winners were chosen amongentries from 13 countries across emerging markets, i.e. Middle East, Turkey, Russia, Africa, Asia Pacific (excluding Japan, New Zealand and Australia)and Latin America. The winners were chosen for their high level of excellence across the full development process, including the design, planning, construction, financial viability and management of the project.

    The concept for the 27,000 sq. ft. (built-up area) clubhouse at Sterling Villa Grande, to be completed in 2013, was to create a leisure center at the heart of the villa development integrated with an eco lake and its manicured gardens. The clubhouse is designed for a vibrant, active community in Bangalore and is strategically located as a viewpoint into the community. Some of the facilities include a full-fledged gymnasium, spa, billiards and snooker, table tennis, squash court, indoor badminton, cards room, yoga deck, reading room, bar, cafeteria, cigar lounge, guest rooms, full size swimming pool, pool deck, activity pool and barbeque pavilions.

    Chris Seymour, Managing Director of engineering consultancy firm, ARCADIS Gulf, and one of the judges of the awards last night, said: "The entries for this year's awards took a big step forward with all projects demonstrating an impressive depth of field in terms of geography, creativity and ingenuity.

    "The quality of the entries has definitely improved, raising the bar further and bringing the Cityscape Awards for Emerging Markets increasing credibility on an international scale."
