Southern Tier Dermatology & Aesthetics Now Approved Network Provider For Additional Insurance Plans
Effective March 15, Southern Tier Dermatology & Aesthetics has been included in the list of participating providers for three insurance companies. The health providers are the POMVO Group, ELMCO, LLC and United Healthcare.
- (1888PressRelease) April 11, 2012 - Southern Tier Dermatology & Aesthetics has announced that effective March 15th, it is now a participating provider for three additional insurance companies.
These insurance providers are POMCO Group; ELMCO, LLC and United Healthcare. This means all patients covered by these companies' plans are now eligible to use their coverage at both Southern Tier Dermatology & Aesthetics locations. Owners Colleen Crandell, D.O., F.A.A.D. and Curt Fenkl, D.O. say they are excited to see the practice become available under additional insurance carriers for more patients.

Additionally, Dr. Crandell says becoming a provider under more insurance plans might move their services up in policyholders' medical priorities.
"Many people do not realize the importance of skin screenings and dermatological treatment in the grand scheme of their health care needs. By being able to see more patients, we are offering more early detection and prevention opportunities, which will save lives," Dr. Crandell added.
According to POMCO Group's Web site, the company is ranked as one of the largest independent third party administrators in the country.
United Healthcare is an operating division of United Health Group, the largest single health carrier in the United States. Their Web site says United Healthcare delivers products and services to nearly 70 million Americans. The practice is not a provider on the New York State Health Insurance Program (NYSHIP) Empire plan, which is part of the United Healthcare company.
ELMCO, LLC is based in Elmira, N.Y., but serves health care providers nationwide. ELMCO is completely owned by its participating members.
Southern Tier Dermatology & Aesthetics participates with most insurance providers and offers flexible payment plans, including a 90-day interest-free plan through a third party.
