Southeastern Emergency Announces ACLS-EP (Experienced Provider) Course
Two-day ACLS-EP (Experienced Provider) course offered by Southeastern Emergency Equipment Training Center in November.
- Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC (1888PressRelease) September 20, 2011 - Todd Baker, Director of Training and Education for Southeastern Emergency Equipment, has announced a two-day ACLS-EP (Experienced Provider) course to be held on November 2-3 from 8:00am to 5:00pm on both days. The classes are held at the Southeastern Emergency Equipment Training & Education Center, located at 5762 Hwy 96W in Youngsville, N.C.
The ACLS Experienced Provider course is designed for experienced clinicians with prior training in ACLS. The course focus is "the next step" in ACLS training. This course provides a stimulus for expert clinicians and practitioners to identify areas in resuscitation that deal with special circumstances. The case based small group sessions involve review of electrolyte abnormalities, toxicology, 12 lead ECG discussion, and cardiac arrest due to special causes. A current CPR and ACLS Provider card is a course prerequisite.
ACLS-EP is an expanded course designed to challenge experienced providers rather than repeat information already presented in the ACLS Provider Course. The required text, ACLS Resource Text For Instructors And Experienced Providers, is intended to provide ACLS instructors with the material to understand and explain the ACLS core information, and is included in the course cost.
