After watching the food-truck trend explode across the nation, including Miami, Broward and West Palm Beach and then seeing food trucks begin to gravitate to different areas in South Florida, owners George and Omayra Dakis thought it was the perfect time to bring a unique tranquil space designed specifically for food trucks to Hollywood. "My wife and I love food trucks and almost 2 years ago, we started doing events in South Florida. But we always got the question, 'Where are you guys today?' and then we thought it would be really nice to have a place where everyone's favorite food trucks can be at one location on a regular basis rather than constantly trying to track them down.
You can see that the food truck culture in Austin, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles and similar cities is really starting to move towards a food-court-setting, so we wanted to be the first to bring that trend to South Florida. We have worked really hard in bringing this idea to fruition."The Food Truck Collective Park will initially be open Mondays and Tuesdays for dinner and every Friday-Sunday for lunch and dinner, although it is expected that the Park will eventually expand to a full-week schedule.
The Food Truck Park will be the perfect destination for families, friends, and food-truck followers to enjoy deliciously creative dishes while relaxing in a unique outdoor space. The space will also host charity events and can be reserved for private functions and themed events.
The Food Truck Collective Park is located at Negril On The Green- 315 S. 62nd Avenue, Hollywood Florida, which is immediately one block east of the Florida Turnpike on Hollywood Boulevard and west of SR-441.
