(1888PressRelease) August 18, 2014 - NASHVILLE, TN - Sound & Shape will release "Bad Actors" on September 23, 2014 via Essomenic Media, their 4th studio album to date. The band recently embarked on an East Coast tour in support of the effort, and will debut a music video for the LP's first single, "Venus," in September.

"Bad Actors" showcases a new level of technical songwriting for the trio, while engaging the listener with accessible song structures and infectious choruses. Sound & Shape brings forth a conceptual blend of progressive vocal stylings, guitar and bass phrasings and intelligent but hard hitting drums. "Bad Actors" was produced by Casey Wood and Matthew McCauley.

"If you listened to the demo of the first song I wrote for Bad Actors, I think the immediate question would be 'How in the world did you end up with the record you did?' It was a jangly, almost lighthearted tune with lots of words and a catchy chorus. Fast forward several months into the process and the jangle was gone, replaced with riffs and buffalo-herd-on-the-gallop drums the words were still there, but more focused and a bit darker and questioning, and the choruses had grown to mammoth proportions."
