- (1888PressRelease) October 11, 2014 - Dubai, UAE - Sophos today announced that it is participating in GITEX Technology Week 2014, which is being held in Dubai from October 12-16, 2014. The company will place the spotlight on Sophos Cloud and Project Galileo in addition to promoting its extensive range of Network, Endpoint and Server Security solutions at the region's largest technology event. Senior global executives and technology experts from the company will be available to meet with customers, share their global successes and hold product demos for them.
"Sophos' strategy over the last few years has been to make security simple for our customers, where we take the complex ideas in security and deliver them in a set of products that are simple, easy to use and easy to deploy. We are also the only vendor globally to build a single integrated cloud based management platform called Sophos Cloud to drive our entire portfolio. We recently launched Project Galileo, which for the first time uses our cloud based platform to not only deliver UTM and endpoint but also actually allow all these products to communicate with each other to deliver better security. We have seen tremendous interest in Sophos Cloud and Project Galileo globally and at GITEX 2014, we look forward to promoting it extensively to our Middle East customers as well," says Mr. Thomas Thoelke, Sales Director NEEMEA, Sophos.
Sophos Cloud is the only integrated security solution for Windows, Mac and mobile devices, which offers comprehensive protection without complexity and a simple, intuitive user experience. It is effortless to deploy, manage and maintain, where the unified management console is hosted in the cloud by Sophos with no server to install on the customer's end.
Project Galileo bridges the communication gap between Sophos' endpoint technology, server protection and network security products to provide visibility and control through a single, cloud-based security management console. The integration points can enable the products to better identify threats and provide complete protection across a business' systems.
At GITEX 2014, Sophos plans to showcase the latest version of its SG Series - its new generation of network security appliances. The company will be promoting its Network protection solutions, which include Sophos UTM, Secure Wi-Fi and Secure Email Gateway; its Enduser protection products including Enduser Protection Suites, Mobile Control, Endpoint Antivirus and SafeGuard Encryption; and its server protection solutions, such as the new Sophos Server Protection flexible cross-platform antivirus for virtual and physical servers.
"We have been participating in GITEX Technology Week for several years now and each year the response that we have received has been better than the previous years. The event has helped us increase our brand's visibility and market share in the Middle East region. At GITEX 2014, we plan to showcase our strengths, which is Innovation and Simplicity," Mr. Thoelke concludes on a high note.
Sophos will be exhibiting in Hall 2 stand D2-3. Technology experts from the company will be available to speak to existing and potential customers and channel partners from across the region.
