Sooner Copy Machines' President attends Norman Public School Foundation Annual Donor Luncheon
Norman Public Schools has been an account of Sooner Copy Machines' for many years.
- (1888PressRelease) March 12, 2011 - John Miller, President of Sooner Copy Machines Inc., along with John Heard, Business Manager, and Lori Bennett, Sales Manager, attended the Norman Public School Foundation Annual Donor Luncheon held at the Sarkeys Foundation.
Featured speaker Spencer Tillman, All-American Running Back at the University of Oklahoma and Studio Analyst for CBS's College Game Day, was introduced by former University of Oklahoma National Champion and Dallas Cowboys Superbowl Champion head coach, Barry Switzer. Tillman gave an inspiring speech about giving back to public education and our "moral obligation" to step forward when state and federal dollars fall short. The foundation was created in 1984 and plans to give $100,000 in grants and scholarships each year.
SCM is proud to be a major gift donor for 3 consecutive years helping to enhance the educational experience for students in the Norman Public Schools. Between foundation board member pledges and luncheon donors, the foundation raised over $25,000. The donors consisted of representatives from area banks, law firms, and local businesses in Norman, all attending to give back to the community.
Norman Public Schools has been an account of Sooner Copy Machines' for many years and we are glad to give back each year to the foundation.
