SOLUTRANS 2011 powers ahead on the road to innovation
SOLUTRANS, the international transport-solutions trade event, will take place from 29 November to 3 December 2011 at the Parc des Expositions EUROEXPO exhibition centre, in Lyons (France). SOLUTRANS covers all areas of haulage.
- (1888PressRelease) March 11, 2011 - Seven major European industrial vehicle manufacturers have already registered to attend SOLUTRANS 2011 - IVECO, DAF Trucks, MAN, MERCEDES-BENZ, RENAULT TRUCKS, SCANIA and VOLVO TRUCKS - as well as key semi-trailer and trailer manufacturers, vehicle body builders and equipment manufacturers.
Exhibitors and visitors that attended SOLUTRANS 2010 indicated that the trade show was a success, despite difficult economic conditions. SOLUTRANS 2011 is back this year to assert its position as a key trade event in the international calendar (the trade show will take place every two years).
SOLUTRANS stands out as an event that unites the entire transport profession and offers relevant responses to tomorrow's economic, technological and environmental challenges.
As a central feature in the World Road and Urban Transport Week, SOLUTRANS includes a number of key highlights.
The Industrial Bodywork Prize will be awarded at SOLUTRANS for innovations in the improvement of vehicle bodywork performance. This covers environmental and financial concerns as well as user-friendliness.
The second Truck Industry Meeting, which will take place at SOLUTRANS 2011, will provide companies with the opportunity to raise their concerns on issues affecting the trucking sector.
SOLUTRANS will also host the Truck & Bus World Forum, which will look into and analyse the challenges facing urban transport
Additionally, visitors will be able to visit the Khub, which is a conferencing and multimedia area acting as a venue for dialogue around the theme of transport and the environment.
The Trucker Show will be another highlight at SOLUTRANS 2011: within the context of the trade fair, this event is a celebration of trucks and light commercial vehicles.
Overall, SOLUTRANS has been spurred on by the economic upturn in the road and urban-transport sector. A number of innovations are expected to be unveiled at SOLUTRANS 2011.
