(1888PressRelease) April 08, 2011 - London law firm achieves Law Society Conveyancing Excellence Accreditation
With the legal services market in the process of rapid change, especially with Alternative Business Structures and so-called "tesco law" on the way from October 2011, it is reassuring to know that there are established local solicitors providing a trusted service.
Darlingtons Solicitors, based in North London, is among the first law firms in the country to achieve accreditation under the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme, which recognises high standards in terms of systems, knowledge, risk reduction and efficiency in the home buying or selling process.
In order to achieve accreditation, each firm must undertake rigorous assessment by the Law Society.
Among many advantages of instructing a law firm with the Conveyancing Quality accreditation is that mortgage lenders are likely to work more seamlessly and faster with such firms. Many lenders will now only allow a select number of law firms onto their panels. Membership of the lenders panels in turn creates cost and time savings for buyers.
The scheme is open only to members of the Law Society and to those who meet the demanding standards the scheme will set and has the support of the Council of Mortgage Lenders, the Building Societies Association, and the Association of British Insurers.
Darlingtons Solicitors have been established for a number of years and offer a full range of commercial and personal legal services. The firm has always been known for a strong property law practice, headed up by the firm's senior partner, James Swede. He comments, "we are delighted to have achieved membership of the Law Society Conveyancing Quality Scheme. Membership provides clients with considerable comfort that we offer not only the highest standards of advice but also that our procedures, systems and safeguards are of the highest standard. Property law and conveyancing have always been a significant part of our practice and reputation and will continue to be so".
