Solar Electric Systems Donated and Installed at Multiple Home Sites
Arizona Solar Installation Contractor, American Solar, Partners with Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona.
- (1888PressRelease) April 01, 2012 - Scottsdale, Ariz. - Arizona solar installation contractor, American Solar, announces its continued partnership with Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona. The company has participated throughout 2011 by donating and installing solar electric systems to building projects, as well as co-sponsoring dedication ceremonies. In addition, American Solar expects to donate an additional five systems this year for new Habitat for Humanity projects. In addition to installation, American Solar maintains the systems for new homeowners.

The most recently completed project was a 3.8 kilowatt solar electric system installed in a new home for the Alvarado family. Dedicated in January 2012, Juan and Valeria Alvarado, along with infant son Armani, experienced a dream come true and look to a bright future in their new home made possible by Habitat for Humanity and the City of Phoenix YouthBuild program.
The Alvarado's solar electric system will greatly reduce monthly utility costs. In addition, solar electricity will help protect a portion of the family's utility bill from future rate increases.
A Christian-based organization, Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. It is an independent and locally-run nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization. The organization has served Central Arizona since 1985 and has built, renovated and repaired more than 825 homes in the metro Phoenix area.
