Software Information Systems Ranked in National CRN Health Care VAR List
Software Information Systems (SIS) has been recognized by CRN.com as one of the top Health Care Value Added Resellers (VAR) in the country. Coming in at number 34 on the list, SIS's commitment to the health care industry has steadily increased in recent years and this acknowledgment is testimony to that commitment.
- Lexington, KY (1888PressRelease) December 18, 2010 - Working with clients like Floyd Memorial Hospital, SIS has developed new applications to streamline processes for health-care providers. SIS partnered with Floyd Memorial to create a secured Associate Process Portal, allowing Floyd to implement incremental process improvement over time in support of current and pending changes in the health-care economic and regulatory environment. This Associate Process Portal has enabled Floyd Memorial to quickly deliver higher patient satisfaction, and contain cost through improved efficiencies.
The Associate Process Portal was developed leveraging IBM collaborative technologies, including WebSphere Portal. This technology approach provides a secure and scalable platform for future growth, as well as an agile application development environment for delivery of targeted process improvement at the moment the need is identified. Collaboration around electronic policies and procedures management was also deployed.
"It was amazing that we were able to implement the registration application in under four hours," said Sue Terrell, Development and Operations Manager for Floyd Memorial. "WebSphere Portlet Factory has proven to be a very powerful tool for rapid development for visually displaying data from a database," she said.
Sue further remarks, "SIS demonstrated thorough knowledge of the requirements and considerations for a healthcare organization, and was there to guide us step by step."
In addition to application deployment, SIS has partnered with hospitals around the country to reduce cost and ensure stability and scalability in their infrastructure and storage requirements, in support of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) adoption and enhancements to core Hospital Information Systems.
"At SIS, we work very hard to deliver meaningful solutions aligned with our clients' specific business requirements. With the changing regulatory conditions, hospitals must deploy impactful technology to support both immediate and future needs - without breaking the bank. We partner with our clients to do just that, helping them to create smarter businesses. SIS is very honored to be recognized as a top Health-care Provider by CRN," said Kirsten Craft, Chief Operating Officer for SIS.
