  • (1888PressRelease) July 08, 2010 - CHICAGO - SOBCon Colorado 2010, a think tank of the social web where some of the best minds in the online space gather to present models, discuss insights, and determine best practices, expands from its Chicago roots to the Renaissance Hotel in Broomfield, Colo., Sept. 17-18.

SOBCon founders Liz Strauss and Terry Starbucker selected Colorado, with its abundance of start-up companies and active social community, for the first SOBCon event outside of Chicago. Like the flagship conference, SOBCon Colorado 2010 will give business owners and marketing and communication executives an opportunity to listen to and discuss changes in the business landscape with thought leaders from around the country. The two-day conference will feature featuring six interactive "Mastermind" content blocks focused on strategy and tactics for integrating online and offline social marketing.

"Liz and I have been talking for more than a year about bringing the SOBCon Chicago magic to another town, and it has now become a reality," said Starbucker. "We're very excited about the support we've already received from the Mile High community, and we're looking forward to another great conference," he added.

Session hosts include Jonathan Fields (author of Career Renegade), Alexis Martin Neely (founder of the Family Wealth Planning Institute and author of Wear Clean Underwear), business consultant Carol Roth (who has helped clients raise more than $1 billion for their businesses) and Dave Taylor (author of several blogs, including the popular Ask Dave Taylor), among others. A complete schedule can be found at http://www.sobevent.com/colorado-2010/.

The Colorado conference will kick off with a networking event Friday evening, Sept. 17, which will include a special preview of the next day's sessions. Saturday will be packed with interactive workshops, beginning with a presentation by Strauss and Starbucker entitled, "Litany Against Fear."

SOBCon strictly limits the number of participants at each conference to a maximum of 150 participants; the recent Chicago 2010 conference was a sold out event.

"I will never let any SOBCon get bigger than one room," explained Strauss. "Being in one room creates the high-trust environment that you need if you want people to really talk about their businesses openly and honestly."
