"I am a believer that social enterprise will move the great masses of humanity forward. No child asks to be born into poverty. These kids want laughter, compassion, and love. How do you monetize that? The social enterprise becomes the market for love. If we really want a world that works for everyone, with nothing, and no one left out, then charitable giving has to be a serious part of our conversation."
- Dr. Lee Gause, Founder, Smile Design Gallery
Smile Design Gallery is a social enterprise that provides free dental care to people in need by employing the sales of art to provide free dentistry for children and communities in need. With a wealth of celebrity support from the likes of Swizz Beatz, Rick Ross, Kris Humphries, Angela Simmons and more, Smile Design Gallery has grown exponentially over the last year. Through the immense support of the community, Smile Design Gallery has raised $250k toward a $1M goal that will benefit uninsured families through charitable dentistry.
WuTang Hybrid Arts (WU HA) is a yearlong initiative celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the legendary hip hop group, WuTang Clan. WU HA launched with its inaugural exhibition, "WU HA | 20 20" at multi-media creative space Wallplay on November 9th, 2013. WU HA & Wallplay have teamed up to provide a platform on www.wu-ha.com for the work of artists inspired by the music and mythology of WuTang Clan and the iconic "W", a symbol of the phoenix rising that has transcended race and genre. This yearlong WuTang Hybrid Arts initiative will culminate with a September 2014 exhibition at the Japanese American National Museum curated by Oliver "Power" Grant, Laura O'Reilly, and Jasmine Wahi.
