SmartLabs has introduced four completely new STB models. The new SML-482 HEVC STB is at the top of the list. This is a powerful device in an elegant and compact case. Leveraging a new high-performance chipset, this device supports the latest graphics and HEVC format. Using SML-482 HEVC as the foundation of their service will allow operators to offer a rich choice of state-of-the-art media entertainment with dynamic and appealing interfaces.
The family of SmartLabs Hybrid STBs has been extended with the SML-482 HEVC Hybrid and SML-582 HEVC Hybrid. Each product is designed to enable operators to combine advanced interactive services with existing broadcast infrastructure allowing new market defining services to be created, helping to reduce churn and improve customer satisfaction.
The SML-482 HEVC Hybrid is focused on the established cable market with a single tuner in the compact case of the SML-482 family. The SML-582 HEVC Hybrid is capable of hosting multiple tuners and a hard disc offering the maximum functional flexibility to the operator.
To complete the new line up, SmartLabs unveils the SML-Stick. This is a full-featured STB with an ultra-compact footprint, built-in Wi-Fi and support for an RF remote control, allowing the tiny SML-Stick to be positioned completely out of sight.
