International Lodging, Finance and Real Estate Professor in The School of Hospitality Business, Dr. A.J. Singh stated, "Smart Partners was very insightful and surprisingly candid. I think it will form a very good impression on young people looking to discover their path, and themselves." Dr. Singh continued, "As Socrates said many years ago, 'To thine own selves be true.' A timeless lesson that they bring out in this book. Furthermore, the 13 chapters in the book are full of very practical suggestions for students as they explore the resources available to make principle based smart decisions on creating partnerships that result in a 'Win-Win-Win' outcome."
"Smart Partners," released in early September 2016, outlines the methods and thinking Burba and Hayes have used to achieve financial success while also keeping their personal partnership alive and thriving. Drawing on their unique experiences both personally and professionally, they present principles for building, sustaining, and growing not merely serviceable relationships in business and life, but true partnerships.
"We are looking forward to be speaking to at MSU, although Jim is really very excited to be returning to his alma mater the day before the BIG football game against the 'other' Big 10 state university" said Hayes.
