Smart Mobile hits 2 million subscribers base

Besides operating its nationwide GSM/EDGE network using GSM900 and GSM1800, Smart Mobile was the first Cambodian operator to introduce 3.75G technology to its subscribers. The technology allows faster and more convenient Internet surfing whether it is a mobile device or a computer which supports 3.75G. Currently Smart Mobile's 3.75G technology is accessible in 14 provinces, namely Poipet, Banteay Meanchey, Siem Reap, Battambang, Kampong Thom, Kampong Speu, Kampong Cham, Phnom Penh, Koh Kong, Sihanoukville, Prey Veng, Kratie, Rattanakiri and Mondolkiri. The operator plans to cover all 24 provinces with 3.75G by the end of February 2012.
