Smart ID receives ISO 27001:2005 Certification for its Information Security Management System

(Smart ID), the pioneer in providing technology products, services and solutions in the domains of Biometrics, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Smart Cards, has announced today that it has been certified with International Security Standard ISO 27001, titled "Information Security Management System - Specification With Guidance for Use" for its state-of-the-art IT security, IT processes, IT usability and e-commerce. Smart ID already has ISO 9001 certification in its basket.
The ISO 27001 Certificate is valid for three years. It has been issued after completion of rigorous processes like - 'Define an information security policy', 'Define scope of the information security management system', 'Perform a security risk assessment' , 'Manage the identified risk' , 'Select controls to be implemented and applied', 'Prepare an SoA (a "statement of applicability")'. It defines the organisation's very strong information security management system.
