Hot bands put on a rocking show at the State Theatre in Portland, Maine. Surprise act RAINation thrills crowd.
- (1888PressRelease) October 23, 2012 - Portland, ME - Slightly Stoopid, Tomorrow's Bad Seeds and RAINation rocked the crowd from the first note through the encore at the State Theatre in Portland, Maine this past Thursday, October 18th. Surprising everyone was the band RAINation who was added to the bill within 1 week of the show.
RAINation, no stranger to the main stage, has shared main stages with several international giants including the Black Eyed Peas, Ceelo and Kanye West but has been on hiatus from the public eye. The show featured original members, Adeo (emcee), Blindman (Keys) with new members Chado on Bass, and Karl Schlegel on Violin. Sitting in for Curtis "Mega" Watts was Franky Godfredo, RN soundman, and a long-time friend of the band.
The crowd roared as RAINation was the first of 3 acts to hit the stage. RN proceeded with a 30 minute set and was followed by Tomorrow's Bad Seeds, just off the Warped Tour, and then a blow-out performance from Slightly Stoopid which included several of their hits songs as well as a cover of Springsteen's "I'm on fire". During Stoopid's set, the crowd broke out into a pit which quickly turned into something more like a native American pow-wow with lots of spiritual dancing.
