At the 2016 Houston Comedy Film Festival, "Fun With Hackley: Axe Murderer", an independent feature film comedy from the Austin based production company Slash Consortium premiered at the 14 Pews venue in Houston, TX. The film, directed by T. E. Sanders and written by former National Lampoon writer Garrett Hargrove, represented itself well taking home several awards including Best Feature Film.
