Ski Luxe Magazine, a ground-breaking print and digital magazine that provides readers with insights into the ultimate luxury ski and travel lifestyle, was announced today from one of the alpine region’s most thrilling events, the FIS Ski World Cup Lauberhorn.
- (1888PressRelease) January 18, 2022 - Ski Luxe Magazine formally launched today and shares insights, reviews, and recommendations on luxury ski, travel, and lifestyle experiences for the affluent ski-enthusiast. The Lauberhorn is one of the most daring and electrifying ski events in the world; beyond the nail-biting downhill and slalom races, there’s a world of posh events, VIP Lounges with gourmet food and wine as well, making this the ideal backdrop to launch the new glossy print publication. In addition to the print publication, the SkiLuxeMagazine.com website provides up-to-the-moment insights on the jet-set ski lifestyle. The bi-monthly magazine and interactive website provide insider advice and intel from knowledgeable ski writers who know the slopes, where to go, what to do, and where to stay for the idyllic ski holiday. The magazine is oversize in format and distributed internationally at retailers, as well as in airline lounges, exclusive member clubs, at special events, and by subscription. “The bi-monthly print and digital magazine, as well as the website, are the destination where today’s affluent skier goes to learn, explore, and plan their next lavish ski holiday,” said Hailey Cromwell, Supervising Editor for the publication. “We are thrilled to be here in Switzerland and to witness one of the most daring events in the world and to launch our publication.” The premier issue features Verbier and Lake Louise as well as features on ski lessons with Warren Smith, insights into the British Ski Club, and renting a ski villa with the Oxford Ski Company. On the cover is supermodel Kate Bock who shared what she loves most about skiing in Aspen.
The Ski Luxe Team chose the Lauberhorn race as well as the beautiful Jungfrau ski region near Lake Interlaken in Switzerland to launch the publication as well as to spend some time skiing in the surrounding resorts including Mürren-Schilthorn and Grindelwald-Wengen. After the stop in the Jungfrau ski region, the Ski Luxe team will visit more elite locations such as St. Mortiz, Verbier, and Zermatt.
Earlier in the week, Ski Luxe had a day on the slopes and then enjoyed après-ski at the Berghaus Maennlichen overlooking the stunning Swiss Alps in including Mt. Eiger before retiring to the luxurious Belvedere hotel. They were joined by UK Television personality, Martin Roberts who shares : “I absolutely love the Jungfrau region and skiing in Grindelwald in particular. My family and I have been skiing for years and love being in the outdoors where we can enjoy time together doing something we all love. Grindelwald offers so much on and off the slopes from great après ski locations to cosy hotels as well as a beautiful downtown village. We will absolutely love it here and will be back there soon.”
Beyond the print magazine, the SkiLuxeMagazine.com website is a portal into the world of the jet-set skier with resort, lodge, and après-ski features in destinations from Cortina, Aspen, Chamonix, St. Anton, Courchevel, Gstaad, and many others. Luxury ski lodges such as Amangani Jackson Hole, Mont Blanc Lodge Chamonix, and Stein Eriksen Lodge Deer Valley are profiled on the site as well.
Over the last few years due to COVID, the ski industry has seen one of its most challenging seasons with closures, cancelled flights, and other restrictions. This year, skiing in Switzerland is open, and hoping to experience a rejuvenation by welcoming skiers from the UK and beyond. The fact that the conditions have been particularly exceptional this year should help as well.
Alexander Herrmann, Director UK & Ireland at Switzerland Tourism shares: “We need to ski again. The Swiss Alps are waiting for you. Now's the time and the conditions have been great this season. It’s not too late for a ski trip to Switzerland: come for a few weeks or a short trip from the UK.” Visitors to Switzerland must be vaccinated with a negative test and fill out a passenger locator form.
The Ski Luxe Magazine and the website bring to our readers what is cool on and off the slopes and have additional areas of focus such as après-ski and shopping experiences, along with industry insider tips and various ski culture pieces. Ski resorts, luxury accommodations, and ski gear brands wishing to be featured in Ski Luxe Magazine should contact the company to request coverage.
