Feldman Shepherd Personal Injury Lawyer Featured in South Jersey Magazine's August Issue.
- Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) August 06, 2010 - Philadelphia personal injury law firm Feldman Shepherd Wohlgelernter Tanner Weinstock & Dodig LLP is pleased to announce that SJ Magazine has named personal injury lawyer John M. Dodig to its 2010 Top Attorneys list. SJ Magazine's list of Southern New Jersey's best lawyers is the result of comprehensive polling of members of the Southern New Jersey legal community. In addition to being named among the area's top lawyers, Dodig is featured in a companion article that includes several of Southern New Jersey's preeminent practitioners. With a readership of approximately 180,000, SJ Magazine is widely read by residents and business professionals throughout New Jersey's Burlington, Camden and Gloucester counties. SJ Magazine's Top Attorneys list is featured in the magazine's August issue.
"I am honored that my peers have selected me to be included among Southern New Jersey's top lawyers," said Dodig. "It is extremely gratifying to learn that my fellow attorneys hold in high regard the work that I do on behalf of people who have been catastrophically injured."
Dodig brings more than 22 years of legal experience to his representation of plaintiffs who have been seriously injured as a result of others' carelessness or recklessness. He specializes in construction, workplace and auto accidents, product liability (defective products), medical malpractice and slip and fall matters. He has successfully obtained multiple seven- and eight-figure verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients, including a $31 million compensatory damage verdict in a New Jersey dangerous roadway case. Dodig teamed with fellow Feldman Shepherd attorney Jason A. Daria to handle the matter, captioned Anderson v. County of Camden, securing the highest verdict in the State of New Jersey and one of the top 100 verdicts in the U.S. that year. In October 2009, Dodig and Daria received a $6 million compensatory damage verdict in Hunterdon County, N.J., the largest verdict ever recorded in that courthouse.
In another noteworthy decision, Jones v. City of Philadelphia, Dodig successfully argued before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania that municipalities should be held responsible when police are negligent during a high speed police chase. Since then, he has successfully handled and been consulted in numerous cases of high speed police chases across the country that resulted in serious injuries and death. Dodig has also been quoted by the Philadelphia Daily News, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Magazine, The Legal Intelligencer, Pennsylvania Law Weekly, New Jersey Law Journal and other news outlets sharing opinion and analysis in this area of the law.
Dodig served as President of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association in 2006 and 2007 and on the Board of Governors of the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association. He is a frequent lecturer in courses designed to teach practicing lawyers trial advocacy skills. Dodig received his Bachelor of Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University and his law degree from Nova University. He also received a Masters of Law in Trial Advocacy from Temple University. He has been listed by Philadelphia Magazine as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer™ for seven consecutive years, and selected as one of the Top 100 Super Lawyers in Philadelphia and Pennsylvania.
