Sixth Annual N.J. Economic Policy Summit Set for May 21

Event to Feature Results of Latest C-Suite Survey of Garden State Executives. End Quote

Middlesex-Somerset-Hunterdon, NJ (1888PressRelease) April 17, 2013 - The sixth annual New Jersey Economic Policy Summit will take place on Tuesday, May 21, once again bringing together the state's business, educational and political communities in an effort to identify, understand and address challenges and opportunities for the future health of the region.

As always, the event will center on the results of the hallmark "C-Suite Survey" conducted by the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.

Founded in 2007, the New Jersey Economic Policy Summit has a single goal: to forge a shared vision for the state's economic growth. The New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA), Rutgers University's Bloustein School, and commercial real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. head the effort. The spring 2013 C-Suite Survey currently is being conducted. The poll targets senior executives from companies headquartered and/or deeply entrenched in New Jersey, gauging their opinions about the economy and their experiences doing business in the Garden State.

"The primary goal of the survey is to identify factors that impede our state's business climate, and subsequently to elicit ideas for affirmative responses by policy-makers, universities, non-profits, state institutions and trade associations," explained Gualberto "Gil" Medina, Cushman & Wakefield's New Jersey executive managing director.

"Over the years, we have been able to measure changes in business leaders' observations and attitudes by comparing survey results. We are eagerly looking forward to seeing what this spring's survey reveals."

James W. Hughes, Ph.D., Dean of the Bloustein School, will present the survey findings at the May 21 event, which also will feature a number of guest speakers and panelists. It will take place in the morning at the Bloustein School's Special Events Forum, 33 Livingston Ave. in New Brunswick.
