Miami, FL (1888PressRelease) October 22, 2015 - Swire Properties Inc, one of South Florida's leading international developers of real estate, announced that Sino-Ocean Taikoo Li Chengdu, the large-scale retail complex that its parent company, Swire Properties Ltd, jointly developed with Sino-Ocean Land in Chengdu, has been selected as a global winner in the US-based 2015 Urban Land Institute (ULI) Global Awards for Excellence competition. The award ceremony was recently held at the ULI Fall Meeting in San Francisco.

A veteran of master-planned developments with an impressive footprint in Miami, Swire Properties' U.S. real estate subsidiary is meanwhile in the midst of completing the landmark mixed-use Brickell City Centre, which will span 5.4 million square-feet and will include two condominium towers, two office buildings, a luxury lifestyle hotel and a 500,000 square-foot retail center.

Widely recognized as one of the property development industry's most acclaimed award programs, (ULI) Global Awards for Excellence has been running since 1979 to identify and promote best practices in all types of real estate development. It honors superior developmental efforts that go beyond good design, including leadership, community contribution, innovations, public/private partnerships, environmental protection, response to societal needs and financial viability.

The competition is overseen by an international jury of ULI members who are leaders in their fields. Sino-Ocean Taikoo Li Chengdu is one of ten global winners selected from 22 finalists and many more original entries from all over the world.

Located in the heart of Chengdu's bustling commercial district of Jinjiang, Sino-Ocean Taikoo Li Chengdu is a 100,000 square-meter open-plan, lane-driven retail complex built around the ancient Daci Temple. Officially opened in April 2015, it is the key component of the Daci Temple Project, which also comprises The Temple House, a boutique hotel with 100 rooms and 42 serviced apartments managed by Swire Hotels.
