Single Ladies who Lost Out to Kate Middleton Invited to "Pity Party" at L'Opera & Alegria
FREE Glass of Wine & Complimentary Hor's D'oeuvres Served To Those Who Would Queen No More.
- Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) April 29, 2011 - To all of those seething runners up to Kate Middleton who fell short of ensnaring Prince William, 2 Long Beach restaurants are throwing Pity Parties offering the first 50 ladies who show up with a complimentary glass of wine or sangria and free hors d'oeuvres on Friday, April 29 from 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. L'Opera Ristorante, a high-end Italian dining establishment, and its sister and next-door-neighbor, Alegria, a hot Latin-inspired tapas eatery, are hosting the free events, which will accommodate 50 guests each on a first come-first serve basis. L'Opera is located at 101 North Pine Avenue; Alegria at 115 North Pine Avenue in downtown Long Beach.
"While tomorrow's wedding is a joyous occasion for much of the world, there are some women who may feel slightly disappointed that their chances of marrying Prince William have been dashed," said Enzo deMuro, who with his partner, Terry Antonelli, own both restaurants. "We hope that this tongue-in-cheek Pity Party will give fans of the royals a chance to console one another."
