- (1888PressRelease) June 26, 2019 - SimplyCast, a leader in engagement automation for organizations in over 175 countries, has been granted ISO 27001:2013 certification, which is an international standard for information security management systems. Achieving compliance with this standard demonstrates SimplyCast’s dedication to ensuring information security and maintaining its security program with a repeatable process that is continuously being improved.
“ISO 27001:2013 is a new standard that is recognized within the industry to be very difficult to achieve. In fact, our third-party auditors said that only a handful of organizations in Eastern Canada and a few across Canada have been granted this certification,” said President and CEO of SimplyCast, Saeed El-Darahali. “Earning this certification is essentially like passing phase three of clinical trials for the FDA; it’s that challenging and demanding. Here at SimplyCast, we understand the need for reliable information security and are proud to have earned this certification within six months.”
ISO 27001:2013 certification is an essential component to conducting business with enterprise clients in the current technological climate. Winning this certification opens many doors for further growth for SimplyCast. Without the ISO 27001:2013 certification and the hard work it required to obtain, SimplyCast’s prospects would have been greatly diminished.
SimplyCast provides multi-channel communication, engagement, and emergency management applications for organizations worldwide. All SimplyCast’s applications are now ISO 27001:2013-certified with the receipt of the certification.
“I’m proud of the entire team here at SimplyCast and all the hard work that went into achieving this certification; it is a major milestone for SimplyCast as an organization,” said El-Darahali. “The Toronto Raptors have the NBA championship and SimplyCast has the ISO 27001:2013 certification.”
Established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the ISO 27001:2013 standard is an international standard that is recognized globally for managing risks associated with information security. The certification encompasses an organization’s technological infrastructure, asset management, and human resources.
SimplyCast’s information security management system was audited by NSF International Strategic Registrations (NSF-ISR), a certification body accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB Accredited) and the International Accreditation Forum (IAF).
