SimplyCast Donates To African Famine Relief
Nova Scotia tech firm donates to the African relief fund through successful fundraising ventures.

The Dartmouth-based interactive marketing company raised the funds through a month long campaign in August which included a percentage of revenue and direct donations through the company's Facebook page. All proceeds will be going to the East Africa Drought Relief Fund which was created by the Canadian Government.
"We wanted to leverage our global online marketing platform to raise immediate awareness around the world of the urgent need for more individuals and organizations to join the relief effort," said Saeed El-Darahali, president and CEO of SimplyCast. "The SimplyCast team wanted to help those caught up in this terrible crisis and to make a tangible difference to those in desperate need."
The famine in East Africa has killed tens of thousands, and more people are dying every day. A devastating drought across the region, plus war, neglect and spiraling prices have all contributed to what is now the worst hunger emergency in a generation.
