Simon Tullett Machinery New ROBOFLAIL Models
The STM range of RoboFlail remote control zero-turn mowers has proved to be very successful, with a large number of units now in service. But the design and development process doesn't stand still. there are now two more units being added, making five models in all.
- (1888PressRelease) August 29, 2014 - The existing range is the RoboFlail One [underslung 48" cut rotary or verti-flail deck], the RoboFlail Vario [for accepting PTO-driven accessories] and the RoboFlail Plus with compact integral headstock for hydraulically driven units.
The machines all operate using a shoulder-mounted control unit, effective from 300m.
There are features like a tipping fuel tank to compensate for angled terrain, plough-front or open front deck and optional ROPS cage. The zero-turn low centre of gravity units have proved themselves time and time again for work in difficult, steep or tricky to access areas.
What's been added is: The RoboFlail One Diesel and the RoboFlail Mini.
For the RoboFlail One diesel there's a 25HP 3-cyl Yanmar engine, 30 litre fuel tank, 110cm cut flail head, rubber tracks and it weighs in at 780kg.
This unit is similar in appearance and operating layout to the RoboFlail One, and has been developed with an underslung flail head with back to back blades.
The RoboFlail Mini is, as its name implies, the smallest in the range. It runs with a Briggs and Stratton 950 motor which feeds an 80 amp generator. The mower operates using two 24v 600W [800W peak] electric motors driving lightweight tracks and cutting with a 50cm rotary deck. It retains the same capability as regards the remote control working from as far as 300m.
The demand for remote control mowers is steadily growing, and this range of five machines from STM has faced this demand with machinery for all situations.
