Silent Auction Fundraiser for Near Fatal Car Accident Victim
The Wine Bar is hosting a charity event to raise funds to reduce medical expenses for a near fatal car accident victim.
- Jacksonville, FL (1888PressRelease) October 15, 2010 - The Wine Bar will host a charity event to include a silent auction and live music Saturday, October 16, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. The event is being held to help raise money for a local resident who was involved in a near fatal car accident. The victim, Greg Swickline, spent more than 35 days in the in the hospital undergoing extensive surgeries. Numerous doctor's bills have accumulated while Greg has been recovering in the hospital.
The Wine Bar will be contributing all proceeds from the event in an effort to reduce Greg's total hospital bill. Some of the items that will be available in the silent Auction are: a golf bag, surf board, bottles of wine, and gift certificates for Mellow Mushroom, Caribbee Key, The Homestead Restaurant and more. Live entertainment will be provided by Charlie Walker, Wes Cobb, Ryan Campbell and Darren Corlew .
"Greg is a good friend of mine, and we hope our efforts will help to reduce the amount of medical expenses incurred while he is in the hospital," said Tommy Walker, manager of The Wine Bar.
