North Farmington Band and Orchestra Boosters will host a silent auction on Feb. 17 to benefit the musical program at the school.
- (1888PressRelease) February 11, 2011 - FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich.- The North Farmington Band and Orchestra Boosters will host a silent auction at North Farmington High School (32900 West Thirteen Mile Road, Farmington Hills) on Thursday, Feb. 17 at 6 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the instrumental music program at the school by helping to pay for clinicians and instructional resources.
Clinicians are vital to the musical education experience as much of what they teach cannot be learned in the classroom. Farmington Public Schools does not provide funding for clinicians.
The Boosters are accepting donations for the auction. Items already donated include: lessons with Detroit Symphony Orchestra musicians, tickets to sporting events, sports memorabilia, restaurant coupons, jewelry, and instruments and accessories.
All contributions are tax deductible. Each business participating will receive exposure through local advertising vehicles, as well as recognition in the printed program.
The student concert will begin at 7 p.m. and will feature Philharmonia, Symphony and Jazz Orchestras. There is no charge for admission. For more information or to make a donation, please call Peter Tolias at 248-426-2939.
