Sight Real Estate to Host Event at Recently Purchased Historic Euclid School Building

Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, FL (1888PressRelease) June 17, 2014 - Sight Real Estate, a vision oriented development and property management company, is partnering with St. Petersburg Preservation (SPP) to open and celebrate the Historic Euclid School one last time through the SPP's monthly porch party before the company re-purposes and converts the building into luxury, historically-detailed residential units.

The public porch party will be held on Friday, June 20 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Historic Euclid School, located at 1090 10th St. N in St. Petersburg. Event attendees will enjoy live music, catered food from Banyan Café and Catering, exclusive tours of the historic facility, as well as an opportunity to share rich stories and have open discussions with those who attended the school and live in surrounding areas.

"We're excited about this opportunity to re-develop a property with so much history," said Michael Mincberg, Founder of Sight Real Estate. "This event will allow us to showcase the history of the property, and share stories with neighbors and supporters of the Historic Euclid School."

Sight Real Estate will join with SPP to submit an application to designate the school as a local historic landmark. The company plans to use the stories, opinions, and experiences from attendees to aid them in the site's development plans. Although the school will have a different purpose, Sight Real Estate will preserve and highlight many of the historic details and elements from the building's original state in their new development.

Matt Joyce, outfielder for the Tampa Bay Rays, has supported Real Estate in many ventures, and is the primary investor for this project.

In 1925, Euclid School was opened in St. Petersburg. The grammar school taught several generations of neighborhood children. All proceeds will go to SPP in support of its efforts to preserve, rehabilitate, restore and maintain important natural, scenic, historic, and architectural sites and structures.
