Encole, LLC a sight glass manufacturer, has released a new sight window specifically designed to work with hydrogen sulfide.
San Jose, CA (1888PressRelease) July 09, 2016 - Encole LLC introduces sight glasses specifically designed for Hydrogen Sulfide, H2S service at high temperature. Typically uses include sour refinery process, petroleum and natural gas refining, paper and pulp plants, Rayon textile manufacturing, waste disposal equipment.
The H2S sight glasses are constructed from the most corrosion resistant materials practically available, without the use of exotic diamond-amorphous coating techniques. The housing is made from commercially available C-276 Hastelloy, an industry standard for corrosion-proof process components, C-Axis Sapphire windows, and an internal all metal C-seal made from INCONEL® Alloy 718. The seal is heat treated by the Solution and Precipitation (NACE) method for sour gas H2S service. The advantage of these Encole sight glasses is the excellent optical clarity not available in fused type sight glasses. Encole sight glasses allow non-distorted viewing of the process behind the window, while retaining the high-pressure and high temperature performance and corrosion resistance.
H2S sight glasses have the following technical parameters:
• Operating Pressure: up to 5,000 psi, internal pressure, 580 psi external pressure,
• Operating Temperature: -60 ºC to +426ºC
• Available in NPT-threaded configuration, Sizes 1" to 3" in ½" increments. Custom sizes and flanged configurations are available by custom order.
