Shridhar University Pilani Proud Participant In Hyderabad Indo Global Education Summit 2010

- (1888PressRelease) December 08, 2010 - This unique event held during 3-5 December 2010 is a sequel to the highly successful Indo-American Education Summit held in 2009. Summit 2010 had sessions on Engineering & IT, Business & Management, Life Sciences & Bio Medicine, Arts & Humanities, Social Sciences and Natural Sciences.
In line with the motto "Educational Excellence Without Borders" of the Indus Foundation, the highlights of the summit included one-on-one meetings between representatives of foreign universities and Indian Institutions for academic collaborations. The 2010 summit had over 100 foreign institutions apart from 400 Indian Participants.
Way to Transform Shridhar University Pilani in the Shekawati region of Rajasthan has 11 Schools of Learning offering various Certificate, Diploma, Under Graduate, Post Graduate as well as Doctoral programmes. In order to prepare students for a global future, Shridhar University has actively taken up collaborations with various national & international institutions and already has signed MoU in May 2010 with top ranking Athens University of Economics and Business - AUEB, Greece.

It is indeed a matter of pride that Shridhar University Pilani right in its very first year has attracted students not only from Rajasthan but also from various states of India which include Assam, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Maharashtra and Uttarakhand.
On behalf of Shridhar University Pilani, Prof BR Natarajan Pro Vice Chancellor and Mr R L Bishnoi Advisor for the university participated in the summit and held wide ranging discussions with an array of foreign institutions which included University of Applied Management, Germany; University of Toronto, Canada; Oregon State University, USA; Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzilya, Israel; University of Pardubice, Czech Republic; Universidade Estadual Paulista - UNESP, Brazil; Hogeschool van Amsterdam - University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands; University of Cape Town, South Africa; Ningbo University, China.
The discussions with the foreign universities were centered on Shridhar University Pilani signing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the respective institutions to foster collaboration to promote academic and research interactions as well as scientific cooperation, Student exchange for study, research, or work internships; Co-sponsorship of academic projects, and conferences; Development of special academic programs of mutual interest; Other academic collaboration including curriculum and faculty exchange, etc.
Shridhar University team also had wide ranging interactions with Mr S B Anumolu, Dr M C Das and Dr Ashok Agarwal who are key members in the National Advisory Board for the Summit. Mr S Shiva Pramod Chairman Bangalore Institute of International Management, Bengaluru and Mr Suman K Narasapurapu Business Architect from N2 IT Services, Hyderabad also held discussions with Shridhar University for possible areas of cooperation and collaboration.

Further, Vide letter F.No 8-3/2010(CPP-I/PU) dated 31 May 2010; the University Grants Commission (UGC) has also notified Shridhar University under Section 2(f) of UGC Act 1956.
