Show Your Support For The 2011 Rugby Challenge With A Help For Heroes Rugby Shirt
Some of the greatest rugby players from around the world will line up at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday 3 December 2011 for the 'Heroes Rugby Challenge'.
- (1888PressRelease) December 08, 2011 - The match, which kicks off at 1630 and is supported by J.P. Morgan, aims to raise a substantial sum of money for Help for Heroes, the charity which provides practical support for wounded service men and women.
The charity is encouraging anyone who is going along to the event at Twickenham stadium - along with any supporters who can't make it - to proudly wear a Help for Heroes rugby shirt to mark the occasion.
England World Cup winners, Lawrence Dallaglio and Jason Leonard, together with Welsh legend, Ieuan Evans, will manage the H4H Northern Hemisphere XV against an all-star Southern Hemisphere XV side which will be overseen by Australian and All Black World Cup winners Michael Lynagh and Sean Fitzpatrick. The two teams will comprise of players selected from the northern and southern hemisphere professional game and the best players from the Armed Forces.
You can show your support and join in with the sporting atmosphere by visiting the Help for Heroes online store. You'll find a load of rugby related merchandise, including balls, boot bags and sports towels, and the money raised from the sale of products helps to offset the running costs of the Charity. Shop with us and your money really does make a difference!
You might not be able to get on the pitch and get stuck in - no matter how much you might want to - but you can still show your support at the match by wearing one of the Help for Heroes rugby shirts. Available in men's, women's and children's sizes and a number of styles, these shirts are Help for Heroes' most fashionable product. The comfortable shirts are made from 100% cotton and feature the iconic stretcher logo embroidered on the chest.
The ever-popular men's striped rugby shirt costs just £30, and the new quarter rugby shirt looks set to be just as popular at only £35. They can be worn on the pitch or in the stands, but are also stylish and practical enough to wear day-to-day. The rugby shirts and a huge range of other items are available from the online store, with all profits going to Help for Heroes.
This year's rugby match promises to be an even bigger attraction than the first Help for Heroes match in 2008, when over 52,000 spectators helped raise an incredible £1.46m.
England World Cup winner Jason Leonard, who will be playing in the match, said:
"The aim of the Heroes Rugby Challenge is simple - to pack out Twickenham Stadium on 3rd December and raise more than £1 million for Help for Heroes in the process. To achieve this, we need the public to really get behind this game and show their support by buying a ticket and encouraging everyone they know to do the same."
Whether you are going to the game or just want to show your support, then don't forget to wear a Heroes rugby shirt and help our wounded soldiers on the tenth anniversary of Britain's Armed Forces operations in Afghanistan.
