Show-Me State Games Announces Line-up for 2011 MFA Oil Break Time Shootout
The 18th Annual MFA Oil / Break Time Shootout is scheduled for January 30, 2011 at Mizzou Arena, and will feature 12 top Missouri high school boy's basketball teams. All proceeds benefit the Show-Me State Games.
- Columbia, MO (1888PressRelease) December 14, 2010 - On January 30, 2011, 12 top Missouri high school boy's basketball teams will come together at Mizzou Arena for the 18th Annual MFA Oil / Break Time Shootout.
The Shootout is bringing top talent from across the state. Ten of the teams played in their district championship during the previous season, six of them taking home the title.
This year's MFA Oil Break Time Shootout schedule is as follows:
11:40 a.m. La Plata vs. Glasgow
1:20 p.m. Schuyler Co. vs. Harrisburg
3:00 p.m. Higginsville vs. Carrollton
4:40 p.m. Helias vs. Wentzville Holt
6:20 p.m. Southern Boone vs. Blair Oaks
8:00 p.m. Mexico vs. Fulton
Tickets are available in advance for $5 at participating schools or $7.50 at MFA Oil's Break Time Convenience Stores in Columbia, Jefferson City, Taos, Carrollton, Higginsville, Ashland, Mexico and Fulton. Tickets are $10 at Mizzou Arena on game day.
For the second straight year, MFA Oil will also be hosting the Spirit Award competition. MFA Oil will donate $500 to the general scholarship fund of the winning school. The winner will be based on size of the crowd as well as good sportsmanship and overall spirit.

Proceeds from the MFA Oil / Break Time Shootout benefit the Show-Me State Games. The Show-Me State Games was established in 1985 as a non-profit program of the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness & Health. Now the largest state games in the nation, the Show-Me State Games is hosted by the University of Missouri. In addition to the summer games, the Show-Me State Games offers events throughout the year to promote health, fitness, family and fun.
