Shobi Dahl, creator of Oregon Grains bread, to speak at 2011 Local Food Connection in Medford, OR
Shobi will share the story behind his new bread, Oregon Grains. Oregon Grains was developed as an exercise in baking a loaf of bread with local food ingredients and is now available in select grocery stores throughout the Northwest. 95% of the ingredients were grown withing 100 miles of Portland.

Shobi will be speaking about his inspiration and motivation to create this locally sourced (95% within 100 miles of Portland) loaf of bread and the challenges that it presented along the way. Also speaking at the conference will be Clint Lindsey, one of the farmers from A2R farms in Corvallis, OR that grew the wheat, oats, and flax used in Oregon Grains bread.
