Empowering Law Enforcement with Knowledge to Combat Domestic Violence by Indian top marriage counsellor and relationship expert Shivani Misri Sadhoo.

This event reinforced law enforcement’s commitment to addressing domestic violence across the state.
Ms Shivani Sadhoo discussed the severe impact of domestic violence, highlighting it as a fundamental violation of human rights, dignity, and personal freedom. She explored various forms of abuse—physical, emotional, verbal, economic, and sexual—that endanger individuals and families. Her lecture, titled “Domestic Abuse of Women – The Ultimate Betrayal of Human Rights,” stressed the need for proactive intervention, comprehensive victim support, and community engagement.
“Domestic violence is a grave violation of human rights,” Ms. Sadhoo asserted, advocating for collaborative efforts beyond reactive measures to build a fairer, safer society. She emphasized that both law enforcement and community roles are vital in protecting victims, fostering safe spaces, and helping individuals reclaim their dignity.
