Vegookie food startup launches new line of vegetable infused cookies that promotes a message of eating healthy to kids and parents.
(1888PressRelease) August 19, 2014 - Founder and CEO Tiffany Kelly was inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit of Shark Tank, ABC's hit television show, to make her own product called Vegookie. Vegookie is a new food startup launching a whole new original line of healthy cookies for kids. Not only does Vegookie want to create an alternative to unhealthy snacks, they want everyone to know the difference.
Vegookie's line of healthy cookies are all inspired by their own superhero themes. According to their Indiegogo crowdfunding page, each super hero theme "helps fight food additives and chemicals." The "Vegookie Hero Squad" is an innovative way to help kids get excited about learning the difference between healthy and unhealthy foods. This makes health and taste equal priorities without sacrificing one for the other.
According to Vegookie CEO Tiffany Kelly, her friends and coworkers expressed their desire to buy more cookies after tring samples. "That's all I needed to hear and I was off and running" said Kelly. She was also motivated to start Vegookie in order to provide healthier snacks for her three year old son. After months of trial and error, Vegookie was finally able to develop a full line of cookie flavors that taste great but use super healthy ingredients such as coconut oil and coconut sugars in place of other sweeteners. They're also the first cookies to be infused with vegetables and developed to be paleo, grain free, and full of healthy ingredients.
As stated on their crowdfunding campaign page, they ask "are you ready to be a part of a healthy cookie revolution?"
