SCCI has announced their participation at Asia's largest franchise and retail show Franchise India 2011 being held on Dec 2nd and 3rd at Hotel Ashok, New Delhi.

Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has been actively promoting business ties between India and the UAE. The Chamber has established ITEC Middle East, not for profit centre, with the directive from Government of Sharjah - UAE, Ministry of Commerce, Government of India and Industry. ITEC, inaugurated by the Honorable President of India Shrimati Pratibha Devisingh Patil on November 25, 2010, offers an exclusive platform outside India for furthering trade and investment between India-UAE, India-GCC and India-MENA countries. It will help in drawing foreign investments to India and provide a single window that links up state governments, export promotion councils, corporate, SMEs and Indian businessmen to the MENA region. The Indian Embassy in the UAE, the Indian Consulate in Dubai, ASSOCHAM in India and the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry have played a key role in the establishment of the centre.
To enhance the exchange of business knowledge, the SCCI has also launched the Science and Technology Innovation Centre (STIC) (in February 2011), a partnership venture between and Infopark Kochi in Kerala in India.
